Ask Julietta a Question

Do you want to know why your cat runs around at 3am? Do you wonder why she refuses to play with a certain toy? Why does she only eat certain kinds of foods? Does my indoor cat need flea medication?

Here is the page where you can ask Ms Julietta, me, a question.

Kati on table at healthycatdetective.com

Hello everybody,

I am so glad you came to this page. We are going to have fun asking and answering questions about us cats.

I promise to answer every question you might have as quickly as possible. But remember, I need some food, playtime and sleep first. And a little spa time to relax does not hurt either. But after that I am all ears… and tail…..

So ask away!!!!

If you provide an Email you will receive a message, once your Question is Answered.

Hi Ms Julietta, my name is Julia and I am Evi’s cat. Why is it that you like to sleep in boxes and bags and I hate to sleep in dark places? YoursJulia

Hi Julia, I am so glad to hear from you. You know, I love boxes and paper bags to play hide and seek in. I do not go outside and run around, so I amuse myself with anything my mom and dad provide for me. Many cats that go outside do not find the need to cuddle up in boxes or bags. They get lotsCat in the bag by healthycatdetective.com of stimulation from being outside and run after other animals, so once they come back inside, they just go to sleep on a couch or bed. Those cats also do not play with toys very often, because they already hunted outside. Kati in box by healthycatdetective.comI also heard of kitties that got scared and maybe trapped when they were young and hiding in a dark place. So once they got older they don't want to go into dark spaces like a box or paper bag. They associate a box or bag with a tight space they cannot get out of to run away fast. I also like it warm, so a box or bag is some kind of warm shelter for me - sorry mom, I know you need the air conditioning, but for me, I like something closed with maybe a blanket inside to cuddle up and sleep undisturbed. Now Julia you can see that there are many reasons why some cats do not like to sleep in boxes. If I think of more, I will let you know. I hope we can stay in touch and I will hear from you again soon. A big Miau to you and your mom Evi and thank you for your question. Yours, Julietta
