Being a black cat on Halloween is not fun. Do you have a black cat? What do you do to protect her on Halloween?
My dear fellow cats and guardians,
I have a plea for you today. Tomorrow is Halloween and we black cats are in danger on the otherwise fun day.
People have been afraid for centuries of black cats – I never understood why. We are normal cats just with a dark coat. There is nothing mysterious about us.
But people have this superstition that we bring bad luck and we are punished for it.
It is especially dangerous for us being out on Halloween. There are sick people out there that torture and kill animals for fun, and on Halloween we black cats are going to be the target.
So my dear guardian, please keep your black kitties inside tomorrow, so they won’t get hurt. If your kitty walks on a leash, go ahead and take her outside – but not by herself. Also keep her away from the door where your Trick-or-Treat kids come for candy. Kids are loud and do crazy things to make themselves scary – but that also scares us. Some of us get so scared that we run out the door and with all the scary kids out there we can get easily lost and possibly hurt or killed.
So, please, keep us away for our safety.
Mom also read that many Shelters do not adopt out black kitties around Halloween in order to make sure that they are not being adopted just to torture and kill them. This is a great thing and I wish every shelter would participate in that.
Now I hope you all will be safe and have fun tomorrow. If you have some funny Halloween pictures, please send them to me, and mom with make a gallery to show them off.
I wish everyone a safe and Happy Halloween and a big miau to everyone!
