Which is the best cat litter to use?

Do you have an indoor cat? Then you are very familiar with cat litters. Does your cat drag cat litter all over the house? Does your cat avoid the litter box? Do you have dust all over the house from the cat litter?

Good morning my two and four legged friends,

As you can see, I am already up and playing. Today we are talking about a very important subject and very dear to me: Cat Litter.

Everybody loves a clean litter box and my mom and dad are very good at that. When they are home it gets cleaned as soon as I went potty. I know, not every cat parent is as neat, but as long as they clean the litter box once a day, we are ok with it. More is better but….

Now, what is in my litter box is also important. Mom told me that she has tried a few different cat litters when she had my two brothers, whom I never got to know because they died 10 years before me – I still call them that, because we are one family.

So anyways, mom tried a variety of cat litters. Mainly because of the dust most cat litters create. She said there was a brand of pine chips that were great. They made the house smell like a grove of pine trees. Dust was also much less, but there was still some residue dragged around after using the litter box. I know I am guilty of that, but I do not wipe my feet when I get out of the litter box. No matter how many carpets my mom puts i front of the litter box, I still manage to jump over them, and I guess my brother’s did that too

But those chips did not create much dust. Unfortunately they changed the formula and now they smell funny and not like pine trees. They also have a different consistency and get soggy. So mom is not very happy with them.

But I am getting ahead of myself. Mom will go through the different cat litters with pro and cons one by one.

In the meantime, I am going to eat some treats and then take a nap. See you all later
